His love is the incentive, the motive, and moral cause of ours. We cannot but love so good a God, who was first in the act and work of love, who loved us when we were both unloving and unlovely, who loved us at so great a rate, who has been seeking and soliciting our love at the expense of his Son's blood; and has condescended to beseech us to be reconciled unto him.Let heaven and earth stand amazed at such love! !!

Nós o amamos, porque Ele nos amou primeiro.
Seu amor é o incentivo, o motivo e a causa moral do nosso amor. Não podemos deixar de amar um tão bondoso Deus, que foi o primeiro a agir no ato e obra de amar; que nos amou, quando erámos sem amor e desagradáveis.Que nos amou a tão grande preço, que foi o primeiro a buscar e solicitar o nosso amor a custa do sangue do seu Filho Jesus Cristo. Amor tal que o trouxe a se humilhar ( na cruz) a fim de buscar a nossa reconciliação com Ele. Que os céus e a terra pasmem ao comtemplarem tal amor.!
