Church Annual Barbecue Day 4

Day 4

The last day we had agreed with Nadia to go for a walk and give out some tracts, so we went to her house and then, from there, we went for a walk. We walked for about one hour, and it was so nice to know more about her and to be able to get some encouragement from her! We planned on giving out some tracts but the houses had gates and signs of “Beware of dogs”, so we decided it would be safer if we gave out tracts in the town centre. :) I took some pictures of flowers and countryside. I really learned with Leah!!! Thanks Leah.

After our LONG walk, (I almost died lol) we went to Nadia’s house, where we had lunch and some great fellowship with her family (and lots of fun as well). Lunch was great, God bless Sigrid!

Barbara told us to go and help her at her house with all the Barbecue stuff. The three of us (Nadia, Ju and I) went, and while there, we were so tired! (You know what I mean right?) We cleaned some chairs, put some ham in the plates, and learned a bit about the game we were going to play with the families at night.

So at 6pm the barbecue started. It was great, really, and I got to talk to people I had never the chance of talking before. Plus, Nadia brought Uno, which was a great entertainer among us. The food was delicious and the fellowship, marvellous!

All the people who were leaders in the holiday club, were also leaders for a challenge game we played with the families. It was called "the Pea fair". Each family had to do some activities and if they did them, they would get one pea. My activity was skipping. If they skipped 15 times without stopping, they’d get a pea, if they did it 30 times, they’d get 2 peas and so on... Well, everyone could skip like 50 times, and most of the kids could skip up to 100 times so, I was giving away peas like water! I think my game was the easiest (well, compared to bb guns or snooker, mine was REALLY easy)...It was really good though, to talk to everyone in the church. There was such a good spirit of team working. It was so much fun to see everyone skipping and wanting to do it again just to get more peas! Meabh skipped at least 5 times!

After this game, it was the leader’s turn to go on the bouncing castle. As we were jumping, some people started pushing us down the slide. I got injured lol. Paulo was the one who hit me in the head. Seriously! I never thought I would get injured in a bouncing castle for KIDS (

none of the kids actually got injured, and some of the the grown ups did. At least I wasn't the only one!)

Paulo, Jules and I gave up the bouncing castle because it was too dangerous for us... (Do you get the irony?) and everyone started playing Uno.

After that we went home. It was a GREAT day! We thanked the Lord for the opportunity of fellowship with our brothers and sisters, and getting to know them better.

That was basically our four days in Clonmel. The Lord indeed blessed us, and we pray that the kids will come to the youth clubs and that they may know the Lord as their Saviour! I can't tell what a joy we had with our brothers and sisters! I pray that the Lord will always bless them, even the young people in their daily walk with the Lord.

Quarto dia:

No dia anterior, tinhamos combinado de ir caminhar com a Nadia e distribuir alguns folhetos, por isso fomos até a casa dela e, a partir daí, fomos para uma caminhada num lugar muito bonito. Andamos por cerca de uma hora, e foi otimo conhecer um pouco mais sobre ela! Fomos bastante encorajadas com o seu testemunho. Planejamos distribuir os folhetos, como ja disse, mas os portoes das casas tinham placas de "Cuidado com o cão", por isso decidimos que seria mais seguro distribuir os folhetos no centro da cidade. :) Eu tirei algumas fotos de flores e paisagens. Eu realmente aprendi com a Leah a tirar fotos de flores! Valeu Leah!. Depois da nossa LONGA caminhada, ( eu quase morri lol) fomos para a casa da Nadia, onde almoçamos e tivemos o privilegio de ter comunhao com sua família (e muita diversão,tambem lol). O almoço foi ótimo, Deus abençoe a irma Sigrid!

A Barbara nos chamou para ir ajudá-la em sua casa com as preparacoes para o churrasco. Nós tres (Nadia, Jú e eu) fomos lá e, enquanto arrumavamos as coisas, estávamos tão cansadas! (Você sabe que eu quero dizer né?). Limpamos algumas cadeiras, colocamos um pouco de presunto nos pratos, e aprendemos um pouco sobre o jogo que iríamos jogar com as famílias a noite.

As 18:00, o churrasco começou. Foi ótimo, porque eu pude que falar com pessoas que eu nunca tive a chance de falar antes. Além disso, Nadia trouxe o Uno, que era um grande entretenimento para nós. A comida estava deliciosa e a comunhão com os irmaos, maravilhosa! Todas as pessoas que eram líderes na EBF, também foram os líderes em um jogo que jogamos com as famílias. Foi o jogo da Ervilha (estranho nao?). Cada família tinha de fazer algumas atividades e se as fizessem, elas ganhavam uma ervilha do lider da atividade.

Minha atividade era pular corda. Se um membro da familia conseguisse pular 15 vezes sem parar, a tal familia ganhava uma ervilha, se ele pulasse 30 vezes, ganhava duas ervilhas e assim por diante ... Bem, como todos conseguiam pular umas 50 vezes, e a maioria das crianças conseguia pular até 100 vezes, eu estava dando ervilhas como se fosse água! Eu acho que meu jogo era o mais fácil (bem, em comparação com bb armas ou sinuca, o meu foi realmente fácil) ... Foi muito bom, porém, para falar com todos os irmaos da igreja. Havia um otimo espírito de equipe entre as familias. Foi muito divertido ver todo mundo pulando e querendo tentar de novo apenas para conseguir mais ervilhas! A Meabh tentou pelo menos 5 vezes! E a irma Sigrid, conseguiu umas 10 ervilhas!!! Após este jogo, foi a vez dos líderes pularem no castelo inflável. Quando estávamos pulando, algumas pessoas começaram a nos empurrar para baixo do slide. Eu Me machuquei lol. Foi o Paulo quem me feriu, na cabeça. Sério! Eu nunca pensei que poderia me ferir em um castelo inflável para CRIANCAS (nenhuma das criancas se feriu, mas alguns dos jovens sim. Eu diria que nós provavelmente éstavamos um pouqunho selvagens! Eu acho que a gente se empolgou demais! Pelo menos eu nao fui a unica que se machucou dos jovens!)

O Paulo, a Jú e eu desistimos de pular no castelo porque era muito perigoso para nós ... (Entendeu a ironia?),e todos começaram a jogar Uno. Depois, voltamos para casa. Foi um otimo dia! Agradecemos ao Senhor pela oportunidade de ter tido comunhão com nossos irmãos e irmãs, e de conhecê-los melhor. Estes foram basicamente os nossos quatro dias em Clonmel. O Senhor realmente nos abençoou, e oramos para que as criancas venham a Escola Biblica! A alegria que tivemos com nossos irmãos e irmãs em Cristo e indescritivel! Oro para que o Senhor continue abençoando os jovens e os adultos na sua caminhada diária com o Senhor.
