Update...

Well it has been a while since I've been over here, but summer has been quite busy (and is almost over ) so I will try to mention the main things that have happened...

A few weeks back, Tami received the results of her secondary school graduation exams. Praise the Lord for those very satisfactory grades that He has blessed her with. Those results have provided her with opportunity to witness to her friends and the staff at school. It was quite encouraging to hear Tami say every time how she got on with the exams " The Lord has blessed me in this way (...)".

In the Spiritual realm, it is amazing how the Lord has listened to our prayers for boldness in witnessing, in this land where people have "so much" and know so little about the Lord. We have been blessed by hearing some godly men talk about the current worldly thinking ( humanism ) and that has opened our eyes to understand what goes in the minds and hearts of the average men and women around us. Understanding the fallen reality around us and how God's word is so powerful, absolute, righteous and pure, has motivated us to speak unashamedly, and uncompromisingly about this gospel that is so LOGICAL, RIGHTEOUS and TRUTHFUL.
I had the opportunity to witness to a friend last week and concluded that although people tend to run away from "eternal issues" it is actually impossible or quite hard for them to accept that this life is all that there is. God has put inside every men and women a void and lack of understanding about life that can only be filled in light of the Scriptures.
The understanding that God is a pure, holy and mighty Creator, and we have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and yet He has been so merciful and loving that in Christ we have the redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace [ Eph 1: 7] is so profound, yet makes so much sense and as we come to understand more and more God through His word we can stand assured on those precious truths and find the real meaning and purpose of our terrene existence, something our average humanist can't do. (but that will be another post :)...

At last we were also blessed with fellowship in the past month with a dear friend in the Lord. This friend came over for a few days and it was a great blessing to be able to talk about the Lord, sing hymns and share what the Lord has been doing in our lives...It is always very encouraging to see how the Lord works in all of us His will and that it is [Him] which works in us both to will and to do of his good pleasure [ Phil 2:13]. Also being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in [us] will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.


Now that the Summer Holidays are coming to an end may the Lord bless us all as we seek to apply our hearts and minds to the understanding and obeying of His word, may He give us strength and wisdom as we go back to the "real world", and may we live purposed to bring the due glory to His holy and blessed name!!!!
