Jesus Christ: King, Prophet and Priest- part 3

Read Part 1, Part 2
This has been a very hard and busy week, so I just got to finish this " report " about the conference today...

The third session was about the Lord Jesus Christ: King!!
The message was about the Lord Jesus Christ being a supreme King , supreme in:
  • power
  • love
  • exhaltation
The fact that our God, is an all powerful, Almighty God can be seen through the whole of Creation (can't understand evolutionists, anyway...); and also through His world and the mighty power in which He deals with those who only trust in Him ( 2 Chronicles 20 ).
The Lord Jesus Christ being supreme in love has faced the death, and the death of the cross for the sake of His people, to save them.
The Lord Jesus Christ is supreme in exaltation. He can't be exalted any higher! ( Heb 1: 3-4).

The challenge was: How do we respond to that?? To The fact that we proclaim the King of kings as our Lord and Saviour??
Three suggestions were made:

  • Learn Christ
  • Focus fully on Him
  • Count all loss for the excellence of knowing Christ.

The third session was after lunch so we had some time to get to know a few of our brothers and sisters from different churches around Ireland.
In that "session" I learned that no matter where Christians come from or " what they've been through ", we all face the same daily difficulties, struggles and we can also see that the more the Christian faces hardships the closer he gets to the Lord.
In one way or the other we WILL encounter difficulties, but we will also have the joy of believing that our God will not forget us, and is actually refining us trough difficulties for our own good.

May the Lord Jesus Christ strength you this week as you purpose to acknowledge His sovereignty, teachings, and mercy!!

Learning Christ
